Theresa Hennessey, M.D.

Theresa A. Hennessey, M.D., is a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Salt Lake City. She is also an associate professor (clinical) of orthopaedics at the University of Utah.

Dr. Hennessey received her medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She did her residency in orthopaedic surgery at Case Western Reserve University and completed her fellowship in pediatric orthopaedics at Primary Children’s Hospital and Shriners Hospitals for Children — Salt Lake City.  She has also completed a master’s degree in health care delivery science (MHCDS) at Dartmouth College.

Dr. Hennessey specializes in clubfoot, hip dysplasia, pediatric trauma and fractures, limb deformities and other foot deformities. Her research interests include the science of health care delivery, clubfoot, hip dysplasia and fracture care. Dr. Hennessey is passionate about international medicine and has been involved in such work in Nicaragua, Haiti and Ecuador.
