April Employee of the Month, Jackie Broadbent

  • Jackie Broadbent has worked for Shriners Hospitals for Children for 10 years, keeping our hospital clean and beautiful
  • If Jackie were a kid, she would be most excited to play on the treehouse slide in our big playroom on the second floor  
  • Jackie plays the guitar
  • The oldest thing in her refrigerator is mayonnaise  
  • The worst punishment she received in school was when she had to sit in the principal’s office  
  • Little known talent: she can balance a broom with her fingertip
  • Her childhood nickname was Crackie
  • She does not like the sound of a cat purring

  • Jackie is a “closet” fan of Donny Osmond 
  • On Jackie’s bucket list: Alaska 
  • Chrys Prewitt, housekeeping supervisor, quotes “Innovation” as the Shriners Hospitals for Children Core Value Jackie best exhibits. She came up with a system to communicate with the families staying in the parent rooms by implementing signs in Spanish communicating housekeeping cleaning times, making it easier for her and the families to schedule their days.
  • Jackie is very loyal and dedicated to being at the Salt Lake City Shriners Hospital and making sure that her service area is completed. She looks for ways to improve her interactions with the families and staff she serves. She is a great team player and is always willing to help. Chrys feels we are lucky to have her!
