Walk for LOVE

Walk for LOVE

The annual Walk for LOVE at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Salt Lake City is our biggest event of the year! This family-centered event allows for supporters of the hospital to walk or roll in support of the hospital’s mission to provide orthopaedic care to children, regardless of their ability to pay.

The Salt Lake City Walk for LOVE is the third Saturday in September. Registration generally opens six weeks prior to the walk. The walk begins and ends at the hospital, Fairfax Road at Virginia St., Salt Lake City, UT 84103. The route goes down 11th Avenue to the SLC Fire station, and back, which is a little over 1.5 miles.

Patients are invited to participate for free, including a specially designed t-shirt. To register a patient for the walk, please send an email with the child’s name, age and shirt size. Both current and past patients are welcome.

All participants are also invited to stay for post-Walk festivities, including Fezzy's Rescue Squad, entertainment and the opportunity to connect with other supporters, current and former patients and hospital staff.

There are many ways you can get involved with this event to support the mission of Shriners Hospitals for Children.

We depend heavily on our volunteers! From cheering on the walkers, to passing out cotton candy, there are opportunities for anyone who wants to volunteer their time for this family-centered event. To sign up yourself or your group to volunteer, please send an email to our volunteer coordinator to find out what is needed.

To become a corporate sponsor and have the opportunities for volunteers from your organization to run the child-focused activities such as the popular teddy bear clinic, Fezzy’s Rescue Squad, see our sponsor agreement.

Through supporters like you, Shriners Hospitals for Children — Salt Lake City has been able to provide life-saving and life-changing care to kids for over 90 years. By supporting this event, you can do your part to send Love to the rescue®.
