Ways to help

For more than 90 years, Shriners Hospitals for Children — Salt Lake City has been bringing Love to the rescue of children with orthopaedic conditions and bone diseases. Our world-renowned specialty care, innovative research and outstanding teaching programs for medical professionals, result in our co-listing by U.S. News & World Report as one of America’s top pediatric orthopaedic hospitals, with Primary Children’s Hospital.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Shriners Hospitals for Children — Salt Lake City relies on the generosity of donors to continue improving the lives of children.

Ways to give

There are many ways to support the hospital’s mission and we thank you for your support.

Cash donations

Donations, unless otherwise specified, are earmarked for the Salt Lake City Shriners Hospital’s general donation fund, which supports the areas of greatest need in the hospital. Checks can be made payable to:

Gifts in memory or gifts in celebration

Donors may wish to provide a memorial tribute, celebrate a special occasion, honor a friend or family member, or acknowledge an accomplishment with a gift to help children. 

Giving to Shriners Hospitals for Children — Salt Lake City in honor of friends or family is a growing tradition. Donors receive acknowledgement letters for their gifts. Notification letters are mailed to honorees or the designated family member, informing them of gifts made in their honor or in memory of a loved one. Notification letters provide name and address information only.

Fundraisers and special events

You can become personally involved in raising much needed funds on behalf of Shriners Hospitals for Children — Salt Lake City. When you attend one of our fundraising events, host a community fundraiser, start a personal fundraising page or donate to someone else’s fundraising efforts, you make an immediate and memorable impact on children and their families.

Ways to serve

For individuals or groups interested in becoming involved in a service project, here are some suggestions:

  • Collect pop/soda tabs – Pop tabs are taken to a local recycling plant. The money generated is used to buy needed items for our patients.
  • Make fleece blankets – the ideal size is 54” x 60” or larger; colors and designs can vary as they go to both boys and girls. Blankets for teen aged boys are especially appreciated.
