Anthony M. West

Anthony M. West

Anthony M. West of Northport, Alabama, is currently serving his third three-year term on the Shriners Hospitals for Children Board of Trustees. He was re-elected during the Shriners’ 2019 Imperial Session held in Nashville, Tennessee, June 30 – July 4.

West was raised a Master Mason at J. Collier Foster Lodge #906 and is a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Birmingham, Alabama. West became a member of Zamora Shriners in Irondale, Alabama, in 1982 and served as the temple’s Potentate in 2000. West has held several leadership positions with Zamora Shriners and the Shriners fraternity, including serving as president of the Dixie Shrine Association in 2004–2005. He was a member of the Shriners Hospitals for Children — Mexico Board of Governors from 2006 to 2013, serving as Chairman from 2010 until he was elected to the Board of Trustees in July 2013.

A past member of the Alabama Road Builders Association, West is the owner and president of West Contracting Inc., a company he started in 1977. From 1994 to 2012, he was president and owner of West Alabama Equipment Inc.

West’s commitment to the Shriners fraternity is supported by his lady, Maria, and two sons, Jason and Brandon, who are also members of Zamora Shriners. West enjoys spending time with his five grandchildren, Austin, Alexis, Ryan, Mia and Allie.
