Janay McKie, M.D.

Janay McKie, M.D.

Janay E. McKie, M.D., joined the surgical team at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Shreveport in 2014 as a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon. Born in Jamaica, Dr. McKie earned her medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine and received her residency training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, New York. She completed her fellowship in pediatric orthopaedics at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas, after which she joined the medical team at the Shreveport Shriners Hospital.

Board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. McKie brings to the Shreveport Shriners Hospital interests in pediatric trauma, spine care and hip/foot deformities. In addition to her role as a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. McKie also serves as director of resident and extender education for the hospital.
