Ted Sousa, M.D.

Ted Sousa, M.D.

Ted Sousa, M.D., is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon in pediatric orthopaedics. He grew up in western Montana. He is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Washington School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in pediatric orthopaedics at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. In addition, Dr. Sousa completed a clinical fellowship with an emphasis in cerebral palsy from Royale Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. He comes to the Spokane Shriners Hospital to be the medical director of our clinical motion analysis center.

Dr. Sousa has a wide range of research interests that include gait abnormalities, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, spinal deformity, trauma and general pediatric orthopaedic surgery. He has authored or co-authored several papers in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Sousa specializes in the care of children with cerebral palsy, arthrogryposis and spina bifida, as well as other neuromuscular disorders.
