Charles L. Castiglione, M.D., FACS

Charles L. Castiglione, M.D., FACS, is a consulting plastic surgeon at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Springfield, and is affiliated with both Hartford Hospital and Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, where he is the co-director and division chief of the craniofacial team. Dr. Castiglione received his undergraduate degree from Yale University and earned his medical degree from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Castiglione completed his residencies in surgery at Hartford Hospital and in plastic surgery at the Hospital of The University of Pennsylvania.

Areas of special interest to Dr. Castiglione include adult and pediatric craniofacial care, aesthetic facial and body contour surgery, breast cancer, breast cancer reconstruction, cleft lip and palate, facial trauma reconstruction, general plastic surgery, pediatric plastic surgery and skin cancer removal/reconstruction.

Dr. Castiglione is a fellow at the American College of Surgeons, president and member of the New England Society of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery, American Cleft Palate/Craniofacial Association, Connecticut Society of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and New England Surgical Society.
