Douglas McDonald, M.D.

Douglas McDonald, M.D., specializes in musculoskeletal oncology and orthopaedic surgery in adults and children. He focuses his practice on the diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant bone tumors, spinal tumors, limb salvage surgery of the extremities, Ewing's sarcoma and orthopaedic reconstructive surgery of the hip. Dr. McDonald is consistently recognized on The Best Doctors in America list.

Dr. McDonald is professor of orthopaedic surgery at Washington University School of Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a nationally recognized orthopaedic surgeon specializing in musculoskeletal oncology and reconstructive surgery of the hip and knee. Additionally, he is skilled in the management of bone and soft tissue tumors of the musculoskeletal system, primary and revision total hip, and total knee arthroplasty. His research interests include limb salvage techniques for the management of malignant bone and soft tissue tumors and the pathology of bone tumors.
