Perry Schoenecker, M.D.

Perry L. Schoenecker, M.D., is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is also professor of orthopaedic surgery at Washington University School of Medicine.

Dr. Schoenecker’s practice focuses on general pediatric orthopaedics of both traumatic and nontraumatic causes. His specialty in orthopaedics includes congenital (from birth) and developmental lower extremity problems of the hip, knee, foot and ankle, as well as the adolescent and young adult hip. 

A nationally recognized pediatric orthopaedist, Dr. Schoenecker is consistently recognized on The Best Doctors in America list.

His research interests include congenital, developmental and traumatic deformities of the lower and upper extremities. The author of more than 155 manuscripts, Dr. Schoenecker is a regular, active participant in the annual meetings of both the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America. A frequently invited visiting professor and guest lecturer, his basic science research has been in blood supply of the femoral head. He served as president of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America in 2007.
