If your child has an upcoming appointment and you or your child are exhibiting a cough, fever, chills, shortness of breath or flu like symptoms, please contact your local Shriners Hospitals for Children location to reschedule the appointment.

What insurance do you accept?

Shriners Healthcare for Children — Florida accepts many types of insurance, including Medicaid, and accepts all patients regardless of the families’ ability to pay. For more information, or if you have additional questions, please call 813-972-2250, ext. 7521. 

What should I bring to our appointment?

We hope you enjoy your visit. Please remember to bring the following to appointments:

  • A list of current medications your child is taking
  • X-rays
  • Your child’s primary care provider’s name, address, phone and fax number
  • Your driver's license or other photo identification. This is required by our security system.
  • Your insurance or Medicaid card

What criteria determine a child’s eligibility for care at Shriners Hospitals for Children?

Children up to age 18 are eligible for care at Shriners Hospitals for Children if there's reasonable possibility they can benefit from the specialized services available. Acceptance is based solely on a child’s medical needs.
