Shriners Hospitals for Children — Tampa is a specialty hospital providing the highest quality care to children with orthopaedic conditions, neuromusculoskeletal conditions and other special health care needs within a compassionate, family-centered and collaborative care environment. Care is provided regardless of the ability of the patient or family to pay.

The Tampa Shriners Hospital demonstrates a strong commitment to high-quality care and excellence in patient experience. Patient satisfaction scores in our inpatient and outpatient areas have consistently been at or above 92 percent on average over the past two years. During that same time, we have maintained a score of 95 percent or higher in overall satisfaction rates from patients recovering from ambulatory surgery.

Infection prevention and control is paramount to any hospital. At Shriners Hospitals for Children — Tampa, we have sustained a rate of zero for both central line and surgical site infections since 2013.

We are the recipient of the Press Ganey NDNQI Award for outstanding nursing quality. This award is given to the best performing hospital in six categories, including pediatric outpatient services. Shriners Hospital Tampa ranks in the 99th percentile of pediatric hospitals nationwide for willingness to recommend inpatient services in 2016.
